My Portfolio

My artwork is basic objects put into a different scale and perspective. I created my art by picking everyday objects and making them different sizes than usual. What inspired my art is the objects I use every day that I probably couldn't live without. My pencil for school, my music to get me in a good mood, and my phone to be in contact with the people I love. My goal for this project was to showcase my art skills for the year's first project. Overall, I am very proud of the result, and all the times I had to restart were worth it.

I used ink blowing to create the image of a thunderstorm. I used ink blowing to create lightning bolts striking down from rain-filled clouds.

My artwork was inspired by Bob Ross. It's an aesthetic painting with mountains in the back and a lake below surrounded by a forest. I used acrylic paint for this design. The big idea behind my artwork is that I am getting better at using different brushes and techniques to display texture and perspective. My goal for this art piece was to create a painting to remember and hopefully frame. My overall thoughts for this painting are that I did way better than I thought I was going into this painting.

My artwork was inspired by the Hendrickson logo. I used clay and glaze to create my pallet. The big idea behind this piece of art is to create a pallet for my paintings going forward. My goal for this art piece was to replicate the Hendrickson logo as closely as possible. Overall I am proud of my artwork and am excited to use the pallet  for future paintings.

The picture represents an upward visual of a city. I created my art with a pencil an eraser, and a ruler. The big idea behind my artwork is making a 3-dimensional perspective, to create this perspective I used one point on a horizon line. My goal for this artwork was to create a perspective. Overall, I am proud of my artwork and how it turned out.

Wakey Wakey Pancakes and Some Bakey

I chose to make pancakes and bacon out of felt because it is a common breakfast in my house. I think it turned out well, if I could change anything it would be how I constructed my plate. The hardest part of the project was the plate. It was hard to get the right upright shape for the plate.

I chose this image for my Valentine's card because dancing is a good way to express love. I chose Lightning McQueen for my loteria card because he's my favorite Disney character. The hardest part of the printmaking process was carving out the small spaces and making them appear on the print. One thing I would change about my prints is to not carve the outline on accident.

Banana Bridge

I got a nighttime mountainside landscape with the letter B. My three objects that start with the letter B are Banana, Butter, and Bowling Ball. I used watercolor to fill the paper with color; afterwards, I took a colored pencil and gave the landscape texture. My favorite part of the artwork is the bridge. The hardest part of the painting was adding texture to the grass.

I chose very vibrant colors that would pop out to the audience. I chose these designs because I'm deeply connected to baseball and have a passion for music. I used contrast in my background, starting from a purple color at the top and orange towards the bottom.
